Sensit Yoga of the Nervous and the Endocrine systems

This yoga workshop aims at balancing the two main systems that regulate all of our body’s functions, influence our perceptions, shape our moods and direct our decision making.

Stimulating our glands and listening to the workings of our nervous system makes our practice gain depth, helping us to understand and experience important body-mind connections. Observing our inner flows and transitions from moment to moment helps us recognise our impulses and triggers, and enables us to better regulate our reactions. Reflecting on who, and how we are in any given situation, more choices become available to us in responding to the stimulations of our environment.

Part 1 (for everyone) includes:

  • Yoga sessions that focus on the fluidity of our inner body, and aim at harmonizing the entire endocrine system. Be ready to move in new ways, combining rolling and spiralling, asana, kryias, using sound and touch, to stimulate and balance the perinneal body, gonads, pancreas, adrenals, heart, thymus, thyroid, pituitary and pineal glands – inspired by Body-mind centering
  • Theoretic learning and practical embodiment of the divisions and branches of the nervous system, with particular emphasis on the Polyvagal Theory. We will be recognising our current nervous system state and practicing movements and self-pressure points for balancing the activity of sympathetic system with dorsal and ventral branches of the parasympathetic Vagus nerve.

You will receive notes with the sequences for your continuing personal practice.

In order to have a complete experience, it is strongly recommended that you attend all sessions of Part 1.
If this is not possible, individual sessions are an option.

Part 2 (for teachers) includes:

  • Hands-on connections to experience the cellular breathing and movement of fluids, inspired by Body-mind centering
  • Methodology of teaching Sensit Yoga, including teacher’s own grounding and centering, turning instructions into exploration invitations, us of touch, cues and questions that can deepen the students' experience of themselves, others and their environment.

You will receive notes with sequences for you to expand from in your own teaching direction.

For teachers, hours are counting towards

  • Yoga Alliance continuing education
  • Sensit Yoga 300hr advanced studies.

Part 1
Session 1 | Saturday 08:30-10:30. Price: 25 Euros
The Fluid Body experience

The recognition of our own inner flows brings forth fluidity in movement and in thought. It helps us feel uninhibited, smooth, free from rigid mental conceptions and open to change.

Session 2 | Saturday 12:30-15:30. Price: 55 Euros
The Sequence for Harmonizing the Endocrine System

The Nervous System – Pranayama and meditation in motion for better awareness of transitions between sympathetic and parasympathetic states.

Session 3 | Sunday 9:00-13:30 (with 30 min break). Price: 65 Euros
Divisions and branches of the nervous system

The Polyvagal Theory. 2-hr practice for balancing the Ventral Vagus, Dorsal Vagus and the Sympathetic Nervous System.
Short sequences for home practice (30-minute daily practice balancing the nervous system and
30-minute daily practice harmonizing the endocrine system)

From doing to being – a guided use of our relationship to gravity to release all unnecessary tension from the body-mind.

 

Part 2
Saturday: 15:45-17:30 and Sunday 15:00-17:00

Methodology of teaching and sequence discussion, hands-on, Teaching practice
